Deltan Empire

History
The Deltan Empire was created in 1948 by King Lawrence I of Delta Valley, in an effort to bring together all the nations of Alterra together, after seeing the destruction that had torn through North Conemera in previous years. At the time, Delta Valley was by far the most powerful nation in Alterra, and had protection, immense wealth, political stability, and an excellent quality of life, and this was also offered to what would eventually be colonies of this empire. The empire spread over most of Catalania by 1960 and many colonies were now thriving. The Empire continued to grow until abour 2010 when the empire reached its current and maximum size. Since then the empire has continued to grow in power and dominance, and today is the largest empire in Alterra, controlling about half of Alterra.
The Imperial Family
The current ruling family is the second dynasty of Delta Valley. The Empire's first ruler was King Lawrence I, when he was pronounced Emperor in 1948, three years after his father, King Rupert I died.
